Eori Number
If you Import or Export goods to and from couriers outside the EU, you must have an EORI number to book shipments.
The World Options online shipping portal now has a field where an EORI number is required for international shipments OUTSIDE THE EU.
Currently, shipments to and from Europe do not require an EORI number, but this might change depending on the results of Brexit.
What is an EORI number?
An EORI number is an Economic Operator Registration and Identification number.
How do I get an EORI number?
You can get an EORI number from the following government website:
Apply via: www.gov.uk/hmrc/get-eori
You should receive your EORI number by email, usually within 3 working days.
What do I do when I have an EORI number?
You’ll need to include your EORI number on the Commercial Invoice to encourage smooth and fast customs processing and clearance.
The World Options commercial invoice template within the portal already includes a field for entering your EORI number. You will be required enter this in the field provided within the commercial invoice template when booking a shipment.
