How do I install World Options’ Shipping platform to my Shopify store?
It could not be easier to integrate your shipping with World Options, follow the steps below to start benefiting from our discounted global shipping rates:
Step One: Set up an account with World Options.
Get in contact with our experienced customer service team and set up a free account in just a few minutes.
Step Two: Add third-party shipping rates.
Speak to the Shopify support team and ask them to enable third-party shipping rates on your account.
While this is a free service, it is important to note you will now be billed annually. Shopify offers a 10% saving for annual billing, so not only will you be saving money on your shipping you will also make an additional saving from your hosting platform.
Step Three: Connecting the World Options’ Portal
Once Shopify has done this, you are ready to connect the World Options portal to your Shopify account.
Download the World Options app from the Shopify App Store and input your World Options credentials, including API key, service URL, username and password. All this information can be found in your World Options preferences under the integrations tab.
Step Four: Set up your Shipping Configurations
Take some time to set up your bespoke shipping configurations. This information is important as it allows us to provide you with the most accurate shipping quotes available.
While it is important to ensure that all your shipping configurations are accurate and up-to-date, the two most important are default product dimensions and default packaging dimensions.
Without this information, you won’t be able to progress with this automated shipping. If you need any support at this stage, get in touch with your World Options account manager.
Step Five: Tell Shopify to use World Options
There are a few steps you will need to take to ensure that your Shopify account is making the most of World Options’ automation software:
- In checkout settings, make sure that all orders require a telephone number and company name - this is the easiest way to make sure you’re receiving a shipping label
- Visit portal preference settings to ensure that all your rates and discounts for domestic and international shipping are up-to-date
Step Six: Add product details
You can now add all your product details to help World Options understand more about your inventory and what you are looking to ship. Once this important information has been added, you will not need to input this information again.
With World Options bulk edit, you are able to add information for multiple products at once, simplifying and speeding up the process.
Step Seven: Fulfil orders
The best part of any e-commerce business is fulfilling orders. Whether you choose automatic fulfillment, in-app fulfillment, or ship manager - World Options integration software can help simplify this fulfillment process for you.
