Q&A WITH Sarah-louise ainsworth FROM CUSTOMER SUPPORT
World Options: Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: I have been married for 6 years, we have two wonderful children and two beagles, so life can be pretty hectic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Last year I made the decision that working in education just wasn’t the right career for me, my husband was very supportive when I told him at the age of 28, I would be starting from the beginning again, and taking on an apprenticeship in freight, 12 months on it was definitely the right decision.
World Options: What is your role and duties at World Options?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: My main role is to obtain competitive rates from our approved list of forwarders in order to secure bookings for our franchisees and their customers. I check the relevant paperwork is correct such as commercial invoices. I also answer any questions or queries that are raised on the ticket system.
World Options: What has been your experience so far of working at World Options?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: I started World Options 12 months ago, just before the Christmas rush with no freight experience. I was thrown in at the deep end which I feel is always the best way to learn, I had just about got my feet under the table when Brexit hit, we all know how the fun that has been! I have had a great deal of support from both Lauren and Howard.
World Options: Do you have any advice or tips you would like to share with franchisees, when it comes to dealing with Booking Freight?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: Always use the check list provided to ensure the commercial invoice is correct, also ensure that the quote and booking forms are filled in correctly with as much information as possible, it saves so much time and rates can be returned a lot quicker. Lauren and I are always here to help, so please don’t hesitate to come through to us with any queries you may have.
World Options: What is your favourite Holiday?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: I have been very fortunate to have travelled to some amazing countries, but my favourite would have to be Jamaica. I went when I was 16 and would love to take my own children one day. I think I will wait a few years though before taking an 8-year-old on an 11 hour flight.
World Options: Hobbies?
Sarah-Louise Ainsworth: I play netball 3 times a week and enjoy going on long walks with my family and dogs. On weekends I enjoy going out for good food and a having a few drinks with my friends and family.
